| | Prototype Allowing Quick Growth For PlasmaCare
Portsmouth, VA; Hampton, VA; Columbus, OH; Whitehall, OH
Centers in Indianapolis, Portsmouth (VA), Hampton (VA), Columbus (OH), and Whitehall (OH) are now open!.
PlasmaCare's Warsaw Avenue center in Cincinnati set a new standard for functional efficiency in source plasma collection by establishing:
- consistent building configurations
- standard lease terms
- single landlord
Following the stand-alone model we developed for that facility, Stough Group has completed five more PlasmaCare centers. While subtle technical and operational improvements were made with each new facility, and exteriors varied by setting, the prototype has allowed quick construction to meet a burgeoning demand for plasma.
Five additional sites are in development. The company's growth strategy calls for Stough Group to develop four new centers each year through 2005.
Renovation Enhanced Birmingham's Automotive Historic District
The restored Motor Company Building is a showpiece of Birmingham's Automotive Historic District. As a prime example of early-1900s automotive service architecture, the Birmingham Motor Company building at 21st Street and 3rd Ave. S. had historical significance to the city. Its state of disrepair, however, made restoration daunting:
- leaking roof
- rotted rafters
- bricked up doors and windows
- broken glass
- peeling paint
- broken and missing clay tiles
- non-functional mechanicals
While retaining historic architectural features, Stough Group updated the entire site to 21st Century standards for mixed-use commercial lease space.
In its new incarnation, 2101 3rd Ave. S. is a vibrant part of the ever-expanding University of Alabama/Birmingham neighborhood, with PlasmaCare on the ground floor, and prime professional/retail space downstairs and up.
